Paulaner Salvator Bock
Salvator is a rich and hearty dopplebock, superbly balanced and true to its world-renowned reputation for quality. It is reddish brown in color and has a smoky, sweet malty nose with accents of Hallertau hops. Paulaner Salvator, has a strong, typically malty flavor, it is what you could call the "original" Paulaner. This bottom-fermented "Doppelbock" beer combines the finest hops and dark barley malt. The Paulaner monks used to drink Salvator as a food substitute during Lent.
