Whether consumers are catching a Wildcat game at the bar, spending a night out in downtown Tucson or just enjoying themselves at home, part of having a great time is enjoying Finley Distributing products responsibly. That’s why we continuously look for opportunities to grow and expand the reach of our alcohol responsibility programs. Our strategy focuses on preventing drunk driving and underage access to alcohol and avoiding contributing to excessive consumption or misuse. We are committed to the safety of our consumers and those around them.  Working together with both our suppliers and customers, we can all be a part of the solution.

Retailer Responsibility - Finley is happy to partner with retailer partners to implement the responsible use of alcohol. The use of "We I.D." signage reassures parents and the community that we are active partners in preventing access to alcoholic beverages. Tips for Drinking Responsibly

Eat up. Don't drink on an empty stomach. Eat something -preferably carbohydrates- before you start drinking, and snack between drinks. Eating slows alcohol absorption and gives you more energy to enjoy yourself.

Water. Alternate your drinks with water. It helps to keep you hydrated and slow your drinking rate. And down a glass of water before you go to sleep.

Know your limits. Daily guidelines are 3-4 units for men and 2-3 units for women. Units do not always equate to one drink – often it’s more.

Think smaller. Choose a smaller bottle or glass.

Make space. Drinking soft drinks between drinks can help pace an evening.

Beware of rounds. Stay in control (and save cash) by opting for smaller rounds or giving rounds a miss.

Consider your Gender. If you are female, be aware that alcohol will affect you more than males because female bodies contain less water.  It may not be fair, but it is fact.

Designate a driver - or make sure you have cash for a taxi home (or Uber or Lyft downloaded on your phone) before you leave home.

Take a break. Give your liver a chance to rest and recuperate. And stay in tip-top condition.
